These projects reflect my leadership in instructional design and systems strategy—rooted in clarity, collaboration, and measurable impact. Each example highlights how I’ve scaled performance-aligned learning through aligned systems, adaptive coaching, and behavior-based design. My work spans tools, frameworks, and adult learning experiences that empower both frontline teams and instructional leaders.
Design Area V – Grouping & Regrouping | Marzano Institute, 2025
As both an instructional coach and classroom teacher, I designed and implemented a personalized learning system for grouping students aligned to Marzano proficiency scales. This case study captures how I structured tiered strategies for student reflection, goal setting, and collaborative learning.
The submission was selected for public recognition by Bill Zima, a national CBE leader, who praised the clarity, leadership modeling, and replicability of my work.
"“You’re not only optimizing learning, you’re also modeling instructional leadership at its best… one of the best explanations of how to do the work that has been shared with us.” — Bill Zima
This project highlights my ability to connect systems thinking and classroom realities—scaling personalized learning strategies through design clarity, stakeholder coaching, and behavior-based planning.
Don Tyson School of Innovation | 2023–2025
I initiated and built a comprehensive alignment tool to integrate Marzano-modeled scales, state standards, and assessment indicators across grades 6–12. The tool is now used weekly to calibrate expectations, guide instructional planning, and scaffold professional learning.
As the project lead, I maintained, expanded, and refined the framework as our team scaled adoption. It now anchors team meetings, intervention strategy, and curriculum decision-making aligned to High Reliability Schools Level 3 indicators.

Don Tyson School of Innovation | 2023–2025
I designed a vertically aligned learning system for AP Literature and Language, grounded in the College Board frameworks and translated into scaffolded, student-centered scale language. The system includes both subject-specific proficency scales and a backward-designed year-at-a-glance tool for instructional planning and project pacing.
Validated by Brandon Abdon, a former College Board director, the framework supports curriculum consistency, unit design, and student reflection. It has since been adopted across district AP teams to increase clarity and coherence in advanced coursework.
This artifact demonstrates my ability to create structured learning systems aligned to national frameworks, scale clarity across teams, and support implementation through project-based planning.

I used schoolwide walkthrough data to co-lead the design and facilitation of a responsive PD series. The training addressed three high-impact strategies: intentional questioning, proficiency-based instruction, and interaction with learning scales.
Follow-up coaching cycles sustained and scaled implementation. My role included aligning visuals to data trends, co-planning sessions, and guiding application through team coaching.
Slides 37–45 reflect my direct design work—including a Figma whiteboard I created for slide 45 to model strategic planning in action.
This project showcases how I translate performance data into responsive training design and use coaching to sustain impact across teams.

During this coaching cycle, I partnered with a secondary ELA teacher to implement differentiated grouping based on proficiency scale progressions. We co-designed group resources, aligned tasks to scale targets, and facilitated classroom implementation with administrator observation.
I led a reflective debrief to adjust pacing and refine strategies for increased student clarity and consistency.
This project highlights my ability to scaffold teacher growth through feedback cycles and align practice to performance-based outcomes.
Book Love Foundation Ambassador • NCTE, Boston | Fall 2024
As part of a nationally selected cohort of Book Love Foundation Ambassadors, I co-presented at NCTE 2024—one of the most competitive national conferences for educators. Our session spotlighted a yearlong model for culturally responsive, student-authored curriculum integrating historical fiction, arts, and inquiry-based writing.
Though designed for classroom application, this presentation showcases how I scale instructional design, contribute to national thought leadership, and drive engagement through community-facing learning experiences.
This artifact reflects how I scale innovation through national recognition, culturally responsive design, and professional community leadership.
